Corner Terrace
A light-filled open-plan home characterised by double-height areas and a seamless flow of space. Cooling breezes flow throughout the home as a result of its efficient new layout, conceptualised after an intensive on-site study of the weather conditions at the house. A pool nestled unusually by the side of the property was placed "to induce a cooling draft to occur". This flows into the living room and dining area flanking it, then into the bedrooms upstairs.
Apart from creating cooling cross-ventilation, the pool sets the mood of the home once you enter: casually relaxed. yet totally sophisticated.
"Open spaces and pleasant breezes are the highlights of this house, which was built partly based on ventilation studies."
